Online interactive lab simulations

In anticipation of needing to modify my weekly in-person labs in an online format, I have been searching for good interactive lab simulations. Thanks mostly to the ABLE folks who have been attending the recent webinars, a few notable resources have been identified.
- Jon Darkow’s computational models for biology and ecology (https://sites.google.com/site/biologydarkow/)
- *Ketcham’s virtual compound microscope (http://www1.udel.edu/biology/ketcham/microscope/scope.html)
- *Plant and Soil Sciences e-Library (PASSeL) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (https://passel2.unl.edu/view/media?view=animations)

One impending issue that will affect the resources highlighted with an asterisk is their reliance on Flash-based file types. Such Flash-based simulations do not work on mobile devices, and their compatibility with modern web browsers is being phased-out. I hope that those people who created these excellent simulations will work toward converting the files to HTML5 compatible file types. I have contacted Leah Sandall who curates PASSeL, and they are working on this conversion using Adobe Captivate (I think Adobe Animate would also work).
It would be great to hear from anyone who is willing to share their interactive simulations and who may have had success with converting Flash files to HTML5.
Sincerely, Chris Meyer - University of Guelph, Canada
