The closing banquet on Friday, June 17th was held at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum. This museum highlights the nearly 3,000 year old history of farming and ranching in the New Mexico area. From the first natives, to the settling of the old west to modern agriculture and ranching, the Farm & Ranch Museum is an interactive museum. It had a gallery, a theatre, gift shop, dairy barn, and extensive grounds with livestock including cattle, sheep and goats. Attendees explored the exhibits (both living and cultural) and enjoyed the New Mexico air as the sun set on the Organ Mountains.
Although the museum is only 2 miles from campus toward the Organ Mountain Range, we provided bus transportation to and from the Banquet. Attendees were welcome to drive their own vehicle as well.
