Here it is! My FIRST issue as editor of Labstracts, and I hope you all hang in there during the transition! As I have said before, it will be difficult to fill Mariëlle's shoes, but I'll do my best!
I hope that all of you have enjoyed your summer and are back into the swing of things this fall. I have looked forward to working on something that is as creative and full of information as Labstracts. It's a privilege for me to be working closely with many wonderful ABLE members. I have come to know many of you and look forward to meeting and hearing from even more of you through this newsletter and future meetings (I'm the tall woman who always looks lost on every campus I visit!).
I am excited and a bit nervous about taking on this task, but I think that the information you send me, and the web page development expertise of my co-editor, Mark Walvoord, will make the job easier. As always, your experiences with ABLE and any important information you feel ABLE members can benefit from are welcome. Feel free to send me any articles or other pertinent information that can be contributed to Labstracts or send me any suggestions or questions you might have regarding the newsletter.
Enjoy the Limericks from this past conference that Carol Budd originated two conferences ago. And be sure to read about next year's ABLE conference in Kentucky! "Yay, horses!" as my daughters would say.
Until the next issue...
