Abstract
We have designed an almost foolproof method for maintaining sponge aggregating cells in petri dishes for at least ten days. Our success rests on species of sponges used and providing "tracks" for cells to use during re-association, students maintaining a sterile work area and keeping contamination to a minimum by frequent changes of culture media or sterile sea water.
