Paleoecology as a Classroom Tool to Address Global Climate Change

Abstract
A laboratory activity to illustrate paleoecological techniques by counting pollen on slides representing six different time periods from a site in Idaho. Based on the class data,the students will be asked to interpret how the vegetation has changed at the site as the climate change over time.
