Abstract
Laboratory activities are essential components of biology teaching and learning. With the sudden and unexpected COVID-19 pandemic, faculty members all over the world needed to switch their course delivery modalities. The face-to-face meetings changed to remote, online, and/or hybrid instruction. Laboratory sessions posed a unique challenge as, in many cases, students require specialized consumables, reagents, and equipment to properly complete laboratory exercises. In this panel, instructors discussed a variety of activities and strategies implemented during the 2020-2021 academic year in a variety of upper and lower-level biology courses.
