The bioMovies Project: Developing interactive digital video for active learning environments

Abstract

This paper introduces an effort to develop and distribute high quality digital video with interactive features for enhancement of learning in biology. The bioMovies project is supported by an Academic Challenge Grant from the United States Department of Agriculture. Another objective of this paper is to discuss ways that readers can join the Biomovies effort by initiating their own projects.
